I haven't been at work this past week. Mainly to get away from the stresses of talk about redundancy and budget cuts, but also to have some nice time to myself.

I spent a good portion of yesterday and today working on my Avatar painting. I know, I know, it's been a while. Well, more than a while. The last time I touched it was August 2010. Oops. But the break did me good, I think. It's given me time to really study it, and I can see the flaws that I was struggling to see before, which means that now, I can fix them. Or try to, at least.

I feel like this is the first time I've really pushed myself out of my comfort zone, but I'm glad I have. I need to sometimes, otherwise I never achieve anything. I've set myself a little task. I will finish the painting before I go to Canada next year, that being the beginning of 2012 (whaaaaat?! I started this in April 2010). And if I don't....I haven't thought of that yet. Everyone is pushing me to get this shit done, so I'm going to.
